MicroLink® SDR
Software Defined Radio - Mission Payload Controller - Airborne and Ground Modules
Frequency division duplex – dual-stream, COFDM | OFDM data link radio and remote controller. Supercomputer accelerated video processing with multi-stream TX/RX capability.
Standard MicroLink® software defined, FDD radios and mission payload controller’s operate in frequencies from 1.2 GHz to 7 GHz. MicroLink® automatically adapts COFDM modulation to maximize range or bit rate according to mission parameters, transmitter presets or operator input. High-speed, it provides dual video transport streams in bandwidths ranging from 2MHz to 16MHz at up to 40Mbps.
MicroLink® connects to any 11-32 VDC power bus and provides a 250W power management system that regulates power to 12VDC and 28VDC outputs. These regulated outputs provide monitoring and control of each transmission payload independently. Software defined circuit-breakers protect these payloads and other mission equipment connected through MicroLink®.
Video-Audio-Data Management:
Troll’s proprietary software controls multiple transport streams to process audio, video, and sensor data. MicroLink® can encode up to three independent HD video inputs to 4k HEVC 265 4:2:2, H264, MPEG-2 or MJPEG. One or more of these transport streams can be transmitted to the ground while recording each stream to an on-board DVR. This allows time delay video exploitation in the air and highly reliable bitrate to the ground.
Software Defined Video Processing:
Our image processing software includes image stabilization, image tracking, ROI, synthetic overlay, image fusion and many other capabilities.
Supercomputer Module
MicroLink® provides a 64-bit, low-power, high-performance Nvidia supercomputer that accelerates video encoding, decoding, encryption and control. Its energy-efficient Arm cores provide access to over one teraflop of system processing capacity to deliver exceptional speed and performance on less than 15W of total system power.
Ethernet Switch and Router
The MicroLink® also incorporates a fully managed 100/1000 Ethernet switch and router. This provides a network managed hub that connects to onboard payloads for monitoring, control, diagnostics and test.
