LinkBox II - Airborne Transceiver

Multi-Waveform Transceivers
Troll Systems is an industry leader in the development of video and data link solutions for federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. Troll’s future-proof mission equipment automates air and ground bidirectional transmission over encrypted microwave.

NTIA and DO-160 Certified
LinkBox II simultaneous transmit and receive COFDM DVB-T and MIMO for long-range and tactical communications.

Onboard the Aircraft
Troll’s Network LinkBox II manages the entire data link seamlessly integrating with onboard mapping and cameras to minimize the TFO’s workload. Completing the link, Troll’s airborne tracking antenna the SkyLink® Mini has become the standard for maximizing range, bit-rate and signal strength.

On The Ground
Troll’s tactical receive systems offer law enforcement high-bit-rate wireless transmit and receive capabilities that can be deployed in a matter of minutes. All these high-gain systems improve range, simplify tactical communications and remain interoperable with legacy equipment.

Like all Troll products, standard and extended OEM factory warrantees are supported by thirty years of customer service and commitment to law enforcement agencies here and abroad.

Low cost - diversity antenna with embedded receiver

Video decoding, network distribution - Ethernet, WiFi, cellular LTE

The A6RX (RX/TX) diversity ground antennas provide 360° signal reception using six independent sectors with up to 15dBi of gain per sector. Integrated into the design are high-performance down-converters, a six-input diversity receiver or an optional SDR transceiver for bidirectional communication between ground systems and the aircraft.

Easy to deploy, Troll’s diversity receive systems rely on channel combining software to take advantage of spatially diverse antenna panels to optimize reception in dense urban environments.
Fully automated, they decode up to six channels of video simultaneously across multiple frequency bands while making it possible to transmit on a separate channel. Power, video and control are connected via a single Ethernet cable.

The TacCase is designed to decode, control and distribute airborne video, map and sensor data in tactical environments. It provides PoE (Power over Ethernet) to the antenna and bandwidth optimized RTP / UDP distribution to other tactical units or command centers via Ethernet, cloud, Wi-Fi or multi-carrier LTE.

Remote control for diversity receive systems

Visualize receive carrier levels for each antenna panel:

  • Monitor signal to noise, bit-count and packet errors independently for each video stream
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot locally or over the network
  • Enable video streaming to cloud connected devices over your LTE network
  • UDP or RTP address editing to remotely route video distribution
  • Access decryption selections and decryption status remotely

  • Resists jamming and interference
  • Improves spectrum efficiency
  • Reuse spectrum even in saturated RF environments
  • Supports DVB-T, FDD, CDL and MANET/MIMO

Azimuth and elevation steered, Troll’s SkyLink Mini maximizes signal range and bit rate by automating tracking and focusing high-energy radio frequency beamwidths on static or dynamic waypoints.

As a result, these highly directional antennas maintain signal strength and quality regardless of aircraft speed or attitude. Naturally, these narrowly focused signals are difficult to jam or interfere with even in saturated RF environments.

Radio agnostic, Mini II improves signal performance to the edge of line-of-sight for mission critical wireless communication systems.

Standard microwave radio frequencies are available from 1.2GHz to 18GHz with UHF bands optional.
