Mini SP and J Series

Deployable Airborne Tracking Antennas

Multi-Axis Stabilized, High-Gain Video Downlink Transmit and Receive System

The SkyLink® SP and J series antennas provide rotor-wing customers with the ability to deploy Troll’s popular Skylink Mini II below landing skids and external payloads to prevent signal interference. Unlike omni antennas which radiate radio frequencies in all directions the SkyLink® SP and J series antennas emit signal energy in a narrow < 30° patterns to improve range and throughput.

SP and J series deployable Mini’s incorporate an internal INS/GPS for self-calibration and stand-alone position, attitude and heading data, independent of any external navigation equipment. This eliminates the need to connect the Mini to GPS or magnetometers onboard the aircraft, significantly reducing the cost and complexity of installation and certification.

Designed to mount to the skid, cross-tube or aircraft step, SkyLink® SP or J series are appropriate for all types of rotor-wing aircraft.

Installation is quick and easy. Troll deployable antennas require a Pilot Panel actuator onboard to allow the pilot to safely deploy and retract the antenna during landing or operation. Additionally, an easily broken frangible safety link protects the aircraft if it accidently lands while the antenna is deployed.

Troll provides all the microwave equipment including transmitters, receivers, encoders, decoders and software-controlled encryption. Troll’s LinkBox or MicroLink® transceivers also connect, onboard cameras, mapping and antennas while providing Ethernet connectivity to and from ground installations.

Point to Point and Point to Multi-Point Radio Communication

Quick-Connect Deployable Antenna and Transceiver System L to Ku Band

The SkyLink® J series provide high-bit-rate point to point and point to multi-point data links that eliminate much of the cost and complexity of aircraft installation. Externally mounted, J series antennas are complete air-to-ground transmission systems. They incorporate a high-gain deployable antenna, multi-stream SDR transceiver with automated data link connectivity, tracking and control.

J series antenna’s include an embedded inertial navigation system (INS). Its precision INS automatically calibrates and provides location, position and heading data eliminating the need to connect or install gyros or magnetometers onboard the aircraft. J antenna’s always know where they are and do not require GPS data from the aircraft to begin tracking or maintain signal lock.

J10
Designed to operate in two frequency bands simultaneously and supports multi-stream bidirectional Ethernet connectivity.

J11
Ultra-wide-X band antenna capable of supporting frequencies from 5GHz to 13GHz
