The A1 is a ground sector antenna designed to provide approximately 60° of coverage. The A1 is lightweight and easy to mount on buildings or the side of a tower. The A1 is designed to be installed around a structure to create an overlapping high-gain reception system. Multiple A1s can be used to form a 360° diversity antenna system capable of up to 15dBi of gain in any one direction when positioned correctly.
The A1 can be purchased in either single or multi-band versions. It incorporates a high-performance down-converter that has exceptional selectivity and noise figure characteristics. This enables the A1 provide a UHF output regardless of the input frequency. Power for the A1 is provided through coaxial cable that connects the antenna to the diversity receiver.
The output of each antenna is fed into Troll Systems’ packet diversity networkingproducts that are designed to perform all the packet switching, decoding, transcoding and routing. Troll’s new DMR series receivers provide two to eight antenna inputs that can be deployed individually or daisy chained together to increase the number of unique data streams the A1 can receive.
Troll’s A60 provides a pair of azimuth and elevation steered high-gain diversity antennas for fast moving ground operations. Designed into a the rugged, aircraft tested SkyLink HD housing the A60 combines a pair of matched antennas single, dual polarized or dual-band directional antennas to increase range, improve signal robustness and tracking accuracy.
Originally built to support multi-frequency, dual-polarized antennas and multiple input / multiple output MIMO radios, the A60 made it possible to support long-range, air-to-ground Wi-Fi transmissions. Today variants of the A60 provide patented signal tracking, optional antenna types that can be further enhanced by the A60’s spatially diverse antenna configurations.

A6 diversity ground antennas were designed to provide high-gain, 360° diversity signal reception without the cost and complexity of a dedicated tracking system. Each antenna uses five or six independent sectors with overlapping reception beam-widths. Integrated into the design are high-performance UHF down-converters with exceptional selectivity characteristics. This conversion to UHF frequencies lowers cost and improves efficiency while minimizing cable loss and noise.
A6 sector antennas can produce up to 15dBi gain in any one direction, and are available in single to tri-band configurations.

Troll’s ESP2000 is designed to decrypt IP video transport streams for display. It provides the ability to receive encrypted unicast or multi-cast ethernet video sources and display them in full HD resolution 1080/60 via HDMI or down converted to composite video signals.
Each ESP includes unique decryption keys that enable secure video to be decoded and displayed over private or public networks. Using ESP’s echo function enables secure or decrypted video transport streams to be unicast or multi-cast to other IP addresses. This Echo capability allows customers to use ESP to manage video distribution and allow access to authorized users, network groups or wider audiences.
Troll’s INS-200 is DO-160 tested and manufactured to MIL standards. The INS-200 has a 1 sigma dynamic accuracy of better than 5mrad in pitch/roll and less than 8 milliradian (mrad) in heading. The INS-200 incorporates aerospace grade temperature and barometric pressure sensors that can access calibration coefficient tables stored on the sensor to ensure extremely accurate measurements over the full operating range, in real-time. To eliminate the effects of variations in forces and noise, a Kalman filter uses data streams from each sensor to produce, in parallel, an ultra-low latency, statistically optimal estimate of the vehicle's dead reckoning relative to the actual environment much faster than the GPS receiver can process updates.
Troll’s INS -200 features a fast 5 second start-up fix and GPS lock enabling the onboard Digital Terrain Data to react quickly to the operational environment to a ground level accuracy of 1 meter. The INS-200 supports industry standard protocol and incorporates serial or Ethernet interface connections. Optionally the DTED terrain maps can be used to support many applications, including line-of-sight analyses, terrain profiling and mission planning/rehearsal.

MT-series antennas incorporate an internal INS for automatic calibration. In the case of bidirectional systems utilizing a Troll type steerable antenna on board aircraft or other mobile platform the MT's position information, provided by the INS, is transmitted to the remote asset. This data is used to automatically steer the remote antenna to establish the link and enable completely hands-off operation.Optional Spectrum Tracking
MT antennas provide a state-of-the-art RF tracking system that samples the RF energy at multiple points using “track-on-average” or “peak energy” to continuously point the antenna to the desired frequency emitter. An optional internal spectrum analyzer permits the operator to assess the RF environment by conducting frequency sweeps. Valid waveforms and signals can be distinguished from interference, aiding in the ability to locate clear channels.
Troll’s LinkBox is a revolutionary data link capable of providing downlink and optional uplink of multiple IP streams and control data. Its built-in multi-port Ethernet switch and optional wireless router allow seamless connection to cameras, mapping systems, tracking antennas and other sensors. Radio options are flexible and configured for each customer’s application.
Available in standard 1/2 ATR (Air Transport Rack) units it features a built-in touch screen monitor that provides operators with the ability to configure and control the aircraft’s entire data-link system. The LinkBox is easily controlled from third-party mapping systems . This greatly reduces the complexity in the cockpit placing all systems controls in one place (no additional control heads required).
Video, Audio and Data options
The LinkBox can support any video input including multiple video streams. The LinkBox also supports both internal encoding and streams from an external source over IP. The transmitted video can be displayed on the local display or optional external HDMI monitor. Audio is supported in both analog and embedded modes. Data may be sent over serial or via built-in Ethernet links. Bi-directional data options are available to support full network bridging and routing.

Troll’s LinkBox can be configured with any number of radio options including unidirectional DVB-T, bidirectional DVB-T and TDMA based data link technology. Troll’s dual-polarized antennas, contain both horizontal and vertical polarizations in a single, lightweight aircraft rated package. The antennas are available in S and C bands.
Dual-polarized antennas maximize MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) radio performance. By providing orthogonal RF paths the dual-stream capability of a MIMO radio can be realized. Dual-stream systems provide greater bit rate or increased robustness of the data link.

The S750 Controller is the most advanced remote site controller available today. Widely used to provide remote control of microwave tower sites and mobile microwave installations, the S750 is the interface between master control and remote site transmit, receive and process equipment. The S750 can control multiple antennas, receivers, routers, switchers, encoders, decoders and the latest digital video systems. Its modern design incorporates 32-bit architecture with extensive built-in diagnostic and test features. It’s advanced Windows® CE 5.0 real-time operating system delivers remarkable performance while providing a PC-compatible platform for PC based networks. The S750 also has numerous communications options, providing connections over Ethernet, modems, T1 microwave, HDMI or fiber mediums.
For complex systems, the S750’s capabilities can be expanded with the addition of an X750 or X350 expansion chassis. The X750 expansion chassis allows the control of additional steerable devices. The X350 allows the control of additional non-steerable devices. Both expansion chassis add additional parallel and serial capabilities to the system. X750s and X350s are USB interface devices that connect to the S750’s spare USB ports.
The “S” series site controllers offer a wide variety of ConTroll-PACs, which provide solutions for specific functionality. A ConTroll-PAC is a hardware and / or software package added to an existing S750, X750 or X350. They allow for control of additional hardware such as receivers, transmitters, digital encoders, spectrum viewers and switchers. Other ConTroll-PACs provide advanced communications options such as RF, microwave, TCP/IP, cellular and fiber optic transmission as well as GPS tracking via NavTrack.

The effects of multi-path signal interference on air-to-ground high-definition video transmissions significantly impacts performance. Troll's SkyLink HD’s embedded Inertial Navigation System (INS), heading sensor and three-axis steering, accurately points the SkyLink HD antenna to receive sites even when an aircraft pitches and rolls.
This enables the SkyLink HD to account for the altitude of the receive site so the system can maintain the correct elevation angle at all times. This feature dramatically reduces the ground reflection multipath caused when the aircraft banks.
At the high bit rates required for HD transmission, multipath interference can degrade signal performance. SkyLink LC’s embedded Inertial Navigation System (INS), heading sensor and three-axis steering accurately points the antenna to receive site compensating for the aircraft’s pitch and roll.
Additionally, SkyLink LC accounts for the altitude of the receive site so the system can maintain the correct elevation angle at all times. This feature dramatically reduces the ground reflection multipath that is caused when the aircraft banks.

The SkyLink Mini II features improvements that dramatically reduce the cost of installation and operation. The Mini II incorporates an inertial navigation system (INS). Its embedded INS enables the Mini II to self-calibrate and provides location, position and heading data eliminating the need to install external gyros or magnetometers. The Mini II always knows where it is and does not need GPS data from the aircraft to establish a data link or maintain signal lock.
The SkyLink SP provides rotor-wing customers with the ability to deploy Troll’s popular Skylink Mini II below landing skids and payloads that could cause signal interference. Unlike omni antennas which radiate radio frequency in all directions the SkyLink SP emits its signal energy in a narrow < 30° cone-shaped pattern to improve range, throughput and data link reliability. The SkyLink SP’s embedded IMU provides GPS and heading data enabling the antenna to automatically track receive antennas on the ground.
The SkyLink SP can mount to the skid crosstube or aircraft step. It deploys below the landing skids, eliminating interference caused by the airframe, skids, and external payloads such as camera systems and searchlights. At less than 20 lbs. total weight and 22 lbs. drag @ 100 knots, the SkyLink SP is appropriate for all rotor-wing aircraft types.
Installation is quick and easy. The SkyLink SP simply requires Troll’s Network Link Box and pilot panel for a complete unidirectional or bidirectional transmission system. The TrollCam HD is a state-of-the-art camera enclosure designed to provide year- round, 24 hour operation in almost any environmental condition. It employs a NEMA-4 rated environmentally-shielded camera chamber that protects the camera, lens and all internal components. This award winning camera housing system utilizes a built-in heater, heat exchanger, fan and an air circulation system within the sealed enclosure to retain a particle-free internal environment.

Troll's Van Link system provides complete and automatic control all of your ENG and XNG field operations including automated antenna pointing, transmitter mode, channel and power selection controlled with an intuitive, single page touchscreen.
Troll’s Video Network Server (VNS) is designed to decode, transcode and distribute secure, IP video and data over public or private networks. The VNS incorporates advanced server-side encryption to protect mission video and data on either side of the firewall.
Troll’s VNS decrypts and processes multiple incoming IP streams from multi- channel receivers at remote antenna sites. A typical scenario could include multiple airborne and ground vehicles simultaneously sending IP, video and data to one or more antenna sites. Each site provides 360° coverage and can optionally track airborne or ground assets to the limits of Line-of-Sight (LOS). The VNS manages these IP streams from multiple inputs and multiple locations merging each input into a cohesive data stream for every mission platform. This seamless hand-off of live video coverage between different antenna inputs and remote sites makes it possible to create uninterrupted, real-time streams of video and data over large operational areas.
By adding additional receivers to existing antenna sites, the system can accommodate as many vehicles as necessary with nominal increases in cost and turn-around time. The VNS also provides built-in networking, optional RF spectrum monitoring, system test and control.
