Linearity and Efficiency Advantages

Troll power amplifiers operate with any DC power supply from 12VDC to 30VDC while operating at up to 20% efficiency with linear RF characteristics. Our products operate closer to P1dB (Psat) while generating more useful linear power (EVM 1% to 4%) than other products on the market today (i.e. less “back-off”).

Troll Systems Linear RF Power Amplifiers

TruPower® Series Linear RF Amplifiers from Troll Systems’ bring a new level of performance and reliability to microwave transmission of digitally modulated signals. TruPower® amplifiers use proprietary linearization technology to minimize distortion and provide superior signal quality for complex multi-carrier modulations while minimizing the DC power consumption.

Troll amplifiers are designed to meet the stringent requirements of the DVB-T spectral mask and may be used for COFDM, QPSK, QAM, CW and similar applications. The RF input and output ports provide excellent return loss for filter matching. In addition, reverse polarity protection, short/open circuit protection, and low RF output power warning are standard features. An optional fanned heat sink is available for cooling the amplifier to desired levels. Fan power is provided by the amplifier.

Troll Systems Linear RF Amplifiers (LPAs) offer a new level of performance and reliability to microwave transmission of digitally modulated signals for a wide range of video and data communication systems. TruPower LPAs use patent-pending linearization technology to minimize distortion for superior signal quality. They are designed to minimize DC power consumption to improve efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle maintenance costs.

TruPower LPAs meet the stringent requirements of the DVB-T spectral mask. The RF input and output ports provide excellent return loss for filter matching. In addition, reverse polarity protection, short and open circuit protection, and low RF output power warning are standard features. An optional small, fanned heat sink, powered by the LPA, is available for cooling the amplifier for more reliable operation. Sealing chassis connectors for greater environmental resistance is also an available option.
